2013 Honorary Samuel J. Heyman Service to America Medal

On Thursday, October 3, 2013 the Partnership for Public Service presented nine outstanding public servants with the Samuel J. Heyman Service to America Medals (Sammies). The twelfth annual Sammies gala was held at the historic Andrew Mellon Auditorium in Washington, D.C.

This special award recognizes a former federal employee whose accomplishment decades ago is representative of, and pays tribute to, thousands of intelligence officers who protect our national security interests, but whose feats remain classified.
